Steps to Franchise Ownership
1. Your initial inquiry
It all starts with your initial request for more information on a Select Magazine franchise. We will email or call you to set up a telephone interview time.
2. Initial telephone discussion
The first real step is a discussion on the phone between
Select Magazine and you. This is a great way to get to know
each other, outline our requirements and expectations, as well
as answer any questions you may have. If you're interested we
will then mail you our introductory kit which contains samples
of our publication, executive summary and a personal profile
application.
3. Personal profile application completed and returned
The personal profile application allows Select Magazine to review your current situation to ensure that business ownership is a good option for you at this time. We also take this time to get to know you better and ensure that our system will be a good fit for you. Not everyone is able to be a successful entrepreneur because of many factors and we try to ensure a good fit between you and our company.
4. In person visit to Orlando, Florida headquarters
Serious applicants next step is to visit Select Magazine in Greater Orlando, Florida. During your visit we will show you our facilities, meet key people and discuss in length ownership. You will receive a UFOC document for your consideration. There is a 10-day, legally required, waiting period before you can sign this agreement and we ask you to take it home and review. We invite communication back and forth during this time to make sure you are 100% comfortable before you commit to becoming a Select Magazine franchisee.
5. Franchise Agreement and Initial franchise fee.
After reviewing the UFOC to your complete satisfaction you will come to Orlando, FL once again to sign documents and begin training.
6. Extensive training
You will receive a week of training at Select Magazines headquarters and field training in Orlando. We cover topics such as graphic art design, technical layout and specifications, accounting and management of your home based business, sales, marketing and getting to know the competition. Ongoing training is also conducted with the life of your franchise ownership.
7. Ongoing Support
Select Magazine staff is here to support you at all times, answering questions, plus offering advice and recommendations. Support is available via telephone or email.
